Employee Rights: Compensation for overtime pay.

Introduction:

Every year, employers fail to pay employees millions of dollars in collective overtime. An employer's failure to pay proper wages or overtime can result in an award of damages equal to the unpaid wages or overtime, an equal amount in liquidated damages, and pre-judgment interest.

If you have not been paid for working overtime, or have not been compensated the amount owed to you, contact our law firm now to protect your legal rights.

Your Rights:

Every employee in the United States is entitled to overtime.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act; any time that you work in excess of 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week you are required to be compensated at a rate of 1.5 times your normal rate.
Any time that you work in excess of 12 hours in a day you are required to be compensated at a rate of 2 times your normal rate.

There are exemptions from the law, but these exemptions are narrow and limited.

If you have not been paid for working overtime, or have not been compensated the money owed to you, contact our law firm now to protect your legal rights.

Important Notice:

Persons seeking to preserve any potential legal claims should contact an attorney promptly, since all states have mandatory time periods in which lawsuits must be filed with the courts; otherwise, they may be forever barred.

Please be aware that the transmission of an e-mail inquiry itself does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Audet & Partners cannot serve as your counsel in any matter unless you and our firm expressly agree in writing that we serve as your attorney. You should also be aware that the Statute of Limitations (the deadline imposed by law within which you may bring a lawsuit) may severely limit the time remaining for you to file any potential claims you may have.
