Costco Television Warranty Issues
In March 2007 Costco began limiting money-back returns on TVs, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPods, MP3 players and cell phones to 90 days. Previously, there was no time limit except for personal computers, which was six months. Allegedly, consumers who later attempted to return any of the above electronics items were offered less than the full retail price they had originally paid.
For example, a consumer who purchased a big screen TV in 2006 for $1000 and attempted to return it in 2007 may have been offered an $800 TV in trade, instead of the full retail value.
